I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: (Deuteronomy 30:19, KJV)
In order to reach the other side to your blessings, you may need to climb up and over a few mountains. The enemy’s job is to get you off focus, to forget what you are supposed to be doing. Those are the moments that you need to draw nearer to God. Don’t waste your time being caught up in the natural side of your situation that you cannot see and forget what God has promised. Trials and tribulations are a part of life, but you are an overcomer and you don’t have to stay there. We were all given the freedom of choice, and that is something the enemy cannot take away. However, that does not mean that he can’t trick you into giving it away. How many times have you been deceived into giving up your rights? While we can use that for our excuse in the past, if we have been a Christian for any length of time it is no longer an excuse but a choice. I encourage you to continue to choose to move forward. Always moving forward and not being caught up in the wake of this world which is constantly in a downward spiral. Remember if you find yourself being tried that is the time for you to rejoice; for it is just the enemy’s last ditch effort to stop you from pressing on. So this week I encourage you to firmly choose whom you will believe – the lies of Satan who is the god of this world or El Shaddai the God of more than enough? The choice is yours!
Lord, thank you for the gift you have given to us, the right to choose. Deliver us from our wrong thinking patterns, and protect us from the lies of the enemy. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
